2013-2014

We are currently discussing which hotels are suitable to connect with regarding ‘Catwalking the UK’, a film which shows actors wearing costumes and led by AG fashion collections. Once we have an agreement and budget in place  we will shoot stills and film footage with relevant actors, speakers, singers, dancers etc connecting film and imagery to the heritage and commercial connections of each venue. This package builds links to a series of high end events  organised by those at the top of the industry. Fashion shows as part of events weekends also allow others to promote their products and services in the area.

Astrid (Alex Gill) is the creative agency The London Film Fashion Centre is working with offering stills publicity, art direction and design for television and film productions handling events contracts and bringing in her experienced events management team. They initiate key artwork from concept to design and then implement this across multi-platforms, ensuring maximum exposure, whilst reinforcing the brand.

JANE AUSTEN SCULPTURE

Jane Austen Centre, Bath

During 2013 Andrea Galer will collaborate with sculptor Mark Richards in creating a life-size sculpture of Jane Austen.

The piece will bring the recent work of Melissa Dring to life. In 2012 Dring created a forensic portrait of the great writer using all known accounts of her appearance to create a present as close a likeness to Austen as possible. The project will utilise Andrea's skills in recreating the Regency wardrobe of Austen as seen in Miss Austen Regrets (2007; BBC).

The project is funded and curated by The Jane Austen Centre in Bath.
