Film to Fashion

The Politician's Husband

The Politician's Husband

As the costume designer of this show with tight deadlines and a need to give both Emily Watson and David Tennant a working wardrobe to meet the demands of their part involved me utliizing my fashion collections tailored to fit the part. David Tennants suits are ' bespoke Savile Row', this service has been developed to link an efficient service for busy actors where the head ache od shopping doesn't lead to the style professionals often need.

The Lady Vanishes

The Lady Vanishes was filmed in Hungary under extreme budget restrictions but working with a dedicated crew and actors has resulted in a creative result, my 30's collections were utlized to produce an individual look for Tuppence Middleton and for more information contact us LINK

Threads of Time

Threads of Time is a film project, currently in pre-production, aiming to show how the film industry supports arts and craft in the current environment of mass production. The Threads of Time team are working with other concerned individuals in the entertainment Industry to raise the necessary further funding through a series of exhibitions, performance, films and events. Andrea believes that utilising the works of writers past and present and inspiring a debate around the theme of craft work is key to keeping these vital skills alive.

We are producing fresh promotional materials, with music and movement which will provide an insight into ways we can offer support to those throughout the world who want to find ethical and sustainable ways to live, while practicing their skills after the loss of their homes and livelihoods through war, economic and natural disasters.

Threads of Time specifically tells the story of silk; its manufacture and trade. It is a story of beauty and exploitation, high fashion and disappearing crafts.

A host of leading actors have agreed to be part, lead by Rupert Penry-Jones, together with Camilla Power, Alun Armstrong and Ian Redford.

If you would like discuss how you might be able to get involved or are concerned about ethical trading and fashion please get in touch for further information and an opportunity to be part of Andrea’s work.
