The following films were produced for Andrea Galer Exhibitions: Romance & Reality (Part one 2008) Romance and Reality, featuring Olivia Williams, was originally produced for installations within museums and exhibitions. Henry VIII (2009) Sets to explore how ‘The King's Wardrobe’ controlled trading and textiles during the reign of Henry VIII. The current film was produced to raise awareness to the need for ethical trade today. Two Worlds (2008 Narrated by Julie Christie) The handmade silk lace, which is worn by the actors in the latest photo shoot, was all ethically produced via The Power of Hands Foundation. The foundation was founded by Andrea five years ago in the wake of the tsunami in Sri Lanka. The charity was set up to provide impoverished female craft workers and survivors of the Tsunami with facilities and training. It aims to help the workers out of poverty by becoming self-sufficient, as well as striving to preserve the traditional crafts and skills that are sadly dying out in today’s ‘mass production’ world.
